gardening info-slugs
Having or had problems with slugs let me know what you use,successful or not,We at the National Wildflower Centre are trying a new method for us,it is pelleted sheep poo exciting isn't,find out how we get on in this blog later in the season.Basically you surround your plants with the pellets forming a barrier which the slugs find irritable HOPEFULLY !!

Gardening info-potatoes
Try growing potatoes in containers,its easy,a layer of compost onthe bottom,place tuber in,cover with compost,as the stem appears keep on covering plant until you reach top of container,keep watered and in 100 days carefully empty and lo and behold new potatoes for your evening meal

Do you grow herbs ? Why not divide your majoram plants,give some to friends.It's so easy to do,dig up your plants and with a sharp knife just divide the plant making sure each new plant has a section of root attached.Pot up these plants and hey presto new plants are created.The original parent plant can be planted back into the ground with fresh compost,don't forget to water all plants when finished planting or potting.
